Unfold Your Myth — Cross-Border Academic Legacy
I am Sofia Mushahed, founder and programmer of Azadi — Cross-Border Academic Legacy. My passion for creating Azadi was born during my conversations with Deeba Sadat, a lifelong dear friend. We grew up together. She dreamed of becoming a doctor. I dreamed of becoming a lawyer working at the United Nations I am in the United States now, in pursuit of my dream. Deeba is forbidden from receiving an education by the Taliban. "I remember my male classmates taking their final medical exams while I was trapped at home, watching my dream shatter before my eyes. I am lost." active draws its lifelong legacy from Deeba, and from every person around the world who is confined, yet still strives for education. I have dedicated my life to creating Azadi as a pathway to rewrite our shared destiny; to cross borders and unfold our myth, in order to create an Academic Legacy that bestow dignity to ourselves and every citizen of the world.
